Financial Resources

  • Are you aware of the new, expanded Child Tax Credit? Read more about it and how you may benefit, here.
  • Milford Welfare provides interim emergency financial assistance for residents that qualify through a voucher system. Requests may be made through a written application process with Milford Welfare. Eligibility is based on a financial review of basic needs and available applicant resources. Milford Welfare also supports families via referral to other programs including to Food Stamps; Medicaid; and other financial assistance programs.
  • For Rental or Homeowners Assistance, SHARE Outreach has offices in Milford and may be able to help you.
  • Southern New Hampshire Services’ fuel assistance program provides financial assistance to pay for vital heating and utility expenses through the colder months, as well as support to develop a plan to avoid energy-related emergencies such as running out of heating fuel. For this year, pre-applications are available first to families with young children under 6, elderly and individuals who experience a disability.
