Are you ready to make the biggest and best bubbles you have ever seen!?! These homemade bubbles are NOT the same as the bubble solution you buy in a store! 🫧
Try this simple recipe that only requires three ingredients:
- 8 cups soft or distilled water– Bottled water and reverse osmosis water is typically soft because it’s low in calcium and magnesium. Regular tap water is typically hard water. Why soft water? Soap will form bubbles more easily in soft water.
- 1 cup Dawn dish soap
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- You will also need a bucket or large bowl
Put the soft water, dish soap, and sugar into the bucket. SLOWLY mix the solution (if you mix too aggressively the mixture will get frothy) then let it sit for at least 1 hour…up to 24 hours. The longer you let it sit, the bigger and stronger the bubbles!
Store any leftover bubble mix in an airtight container.
To make the best big bubbles you’ll also need large bubble wands. You can buy a simple, inexpensive set HERE or, make your own by following the directions in DIY ‘Tri-String’ Giant Bubble Wand
