Road injuries are the leading cause of preventable deaths and injuries to children in the United States. The best way to keep your child safe in the car is to use the right car seat in the right way every time you’re out on the road.

**A new law took effect in NH on January 1, 2024. SB 118-FN requires children under the age of 2 to be placed in a rear-facing child restraint in motor vehicles.

The Milford Fire Department has specially trained firefighters that are available FREE of charge to inspect your car seat(s) and to teach proper car seat installation and use. Appointments can be made by calling (603) 249-0680 Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
