At the north end of old Monson village is a large beaver pond with several lodges. The Great Blue Herons have migrated back to nest here. Let’s see how many nests there are. Enjoy this easy walk through one of the most significant archeological sites in New England. Many of the original foundations of the homes that were built in this late 1700s village are preserved. It is like walking back in time.
Suitable for all ages. Sturdy jog strollers can make it.
Park in dirt lots on either side of Federal Hill Road. (506 Federal Hill Road Milford NH)
