Milford Thrives Family Friendly Hikes
Join Milford Thrives as we explore local hiking spots. Held on the second Saturday of the month, we’ll lead you on guided walks through local area family-friendly paths and trails.
For our December hike, we will explore the Granite Town Rail Trail. We will hike south, passing a large beaver pond and hopefully spot some nearby waterfowl, too. It’s 0.7 miles to the Brookline Town Line, but we can turn around at any time. It is an entirely flat walk pleasant to enjoy any time of year. Wear sturdy shoes and layers, bring a water bottle.
Meet at the Trailhead parking for the Granite Town Rail Trail, next to 273 Melendy Rd, for a 1:00 afternoon hike. We’ll look forward to seeing you! The coordinates of the parking area are 42.80278, -71.66210; the parking lot is next to #273 Melendy Road. Thank you to Milford Rec, Wadleigh Library and Milford Conservation Commission for your partnership.
