Join them for a talk with the US Secret Service about preventing internet and phone scams and fraud in our community.
Learn about the types of cyber-enabled scams that target the older population. Offering lots of real-life case examples, Peter LaRouche, Network Intrusion Forensic Analyst with the US Secret Service, will cover topics that include learning about common cyber-enabled frauds and scams targeting older adults, how to identify and prevent them, and what to do if you or someone you know becomes a victim. This informative session will cover having good passwords, phishing emails and texts, investment scams, computer pop-ups/tech support scams and more.
