Did you know that April 13-19th is Dog Bite Prevention Week? The Animal Rescue League of NH is hosting a special Children’s Storytime and Craft hour to highlight the importance of dog safety.
Join the Animal Rescue League of NH on April 18th at 11 am for this fun and educational event.
We will be reading May I Pet Your Dog by Stephanie Calmenson. In this adorable story, a little boy learns from Harry, a dachshund, how to treat an unfamiliar dog safely and politely. After the reading, a Humane Educator will give a brief lesson on dog safety followed by a dog-themed craft activity!
Storytime is designed to be an age-appropriate event for the youngest visitors (0-5 years) that begins to foster a sense of responsibility and compassion. Afterward, families are welcome to visit the adoption center to look at the many shelter residents!
Storytime is a walk-in or pre-register event. A $5.00 suggested donation is appreciated at the time of visit. While registration is not required, space will be limited to 15 children per storytime visit, and registered attendees will be given priority.
