The Milford School District is offering free developmental screenings through Child Find services. Screening appointments will be held at Heron Pond Elementary School, 80 Heron Pond Rd. from 9:30-12:30 on Wednesday, Feb 8th.
This screening is available for children ages of 3-5 who live in the town of Milford. The screening takes about 45 minutes and consists of a survey of motor, communication and cognitive skills.
Please note: this screening is not related to kindergarten admission and is intended for parents who have concerns about their child’s growth and development. If parents have concerns about the appropriateness of the screening for their child it may be helpful to consult with their pediatrician or preschool teachers.
The child’s performance will be shared with parents. If indicated, the special education team will review options for further evaluation and possible determination of an educational disability. All information about the child will be kept confidential.
