The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is once again inviting educators and families to participate in their annual Week of the Young Child (WOYC) April 4 – April 8. Recognized in early childhood classrooms across the US, this annual event aims to raise awareness of the importance of positive, high-quality learning experiences for all children.

A large part of the weekly celebration is getting parents and families involved! They have a week’s worth of fun, themed activities planned:

  • Music Monday
  • Tasty Tuesday
  • Work Together Wednesday
  • Artsy Thursday
  • Family Friday

Stay tuned to our Facebook page each day this week as we share activity ideas and information from WOYC…OR, For an easy guide to use at home click HERE to access the Activity Resource page and scroll down to the daily drop-down descriptions.

Tight on time? You can always improvise and adapt to your family’s schedule. No matter what you decide to do to honor your young children, enjoy the time together and celebrate the bond you have created as a family.

**The mission of the NAEYC is to promote and advocate for high-quality early learning experiences for all children. Part of this work is based in expanding accessibility to quality programs for all families. If you are in search of quality child-care for your child(ren), or have questions about the types of programs that are available, consider registering for the virtual “Searching for the Right Childcare” information session hosted by Childcare Aware of NH.
