The brain develops faster through the first 1,000 days of life than at any other time in life. That’s why the first three years of a child’s life are so important! Early brain development lays the foundation for future learning, behavior, and relationships with others.

Click HERE for a great article from Fatherly that explains what’s going on in your child’s brain and ‘typical’ milestones for each stage…from when they’re still developing in the womb to age 6.

As always if you have questions or concerns about your child’s development please reach out to their pediatrician.

Milford families can also contact Gateways Community Services directly for a free developmental screening for young children up to 3 years old.
